Steering Committee. MNCJP is led by Pro Bono Institute and an all-volunteer Steering Committee. Volunteers include representatives from community partner organizations that include law firms, businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and formerly incarcerated individuals.
Hillary Richard
2022 Equal Justice Works Fellow
Hillary joined the MNCJP as a Saeks Public Interest Resident in 2020. Hillary serves individuals returning home from prison by providing civil legal aid and coordinating pro bono representation for the MNCJP’s Civil Legal Needs Initiative. Hillary obtained a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School, M.A. from New York University, and B.A. from Emerson College.

Jennifer Melton
2022 Saeks Public Interest Resident
Jennifer joined the MNCJP in 2022. Jennifer supports the MNCJP and its Civil Legal Needs Initiative and helps coordinate pro bono representation to individuals returning to Minnesota from state and federal facilities. Jennifer will graduate from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2023. She received her M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary and B.A. from Vanguard University.
